2017 Global Gaming Award Winners
The Global Gaming Awards announced their industry winners. This year’s event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Twelve companies won a variety of the highest awards given at the event.
This event draws hundreds of industry leaders together each year. In the Venetian Ballroom, this year professionals from all corners of the gaming industry gathered together in excitement to see who would win a prize signifying their leadership within the industry. The awards ceremony was the kick-off to this year’s Global Gaming Expo as well.
Wynn Resorts received an award for Land-Based Operator of the Year. Wynn Resorts had an extremely successful financial year and launched a new location. MGM Resorts won this category the past three years in a row, so this award came as quite a shock to the ceremony spectators.
Bet365 earned the Digital Operator of the Year prize. They currently service 19 million consumers in over 200 countries around the world. IGT-Cardless Connect won the Land-Based Product of the Year category. Companies receive this award for innovating a new product that fundamentally changes the landscape of the operations for land-based casinos. IGT came up with a loyalty program that can be operated solely on one’s mobile device. It is called Cardless Connect, and it has taken the industry by storm with many casinos adopting its use in addition to many customers all over the world.
Evolution Gaming invented the Dream Catcher which won the Digital Product of the Year prize. Using an innovative and intelligent new technology, Dream Catcher reinvented digital gambling, like providing an entirely new format for Wheel of Fortune games.
MGM Resorts won the Customer Loyalty Program of the Year; this is their fourth year claiming this award. Their program rewards gamblers for almost every penny they spend in any of MGM casinos.
LeoVegas snagged the Digital Acquisition Program of the Year prize, while the Land-Based Industry Supplier of the Year award went to Scientific Games. NYX Gaming Group picked up a trophy for being the Digital Industry Supplier of the Year, and IGT’s Spinx 4D won the Land-Based Gaming Innovation of the Year award.
Betgenius won the Digital Gaming Innovation prize for their eSports Trading service, and Sportradar earned the Responsible Business of the Year Title. Lastly, Mr. Mor Weizer won the European Executive award.
All the winners were incredibly excited about their wins, and it will be fascinating to see who will win next year’s prizes.
