888 Promotes Andrew Anthony as Head of Gaming Responsibility Team
888 Holdings, the London Listed company has announced its promotion of Andrew Anthony, who will become the lead person in its lead player protection efforts, as he becomes the new Responsible Gaming Director of the company. The new Responsible Gaming Director, Andrew Anthony, is going to oversee the progressing improvement of the player protection operations of 888, its processes and systems as the new head of the system. He is going to report directly to the head of customer Risk Management and Senior VP, Yaniv Schwartz.
The Operations of the Responsible Gambling Team
The Responsible Gambling Team of the operator uses Observer, which is a proprietary monitory tool for the players’ behavior. Its purpose is to flag any concerning or unusual activity to the gaming responsibility team. The team will then have the task to decide on the best way to respond and interact with the customer. In addition to managing the Observer system and the team, Anthony is also going to collaborate with the different market stakeholder groups, as well as the regulating entities so that they can improve the standards of the industry, and developer safer initiatives for responsible gambling.

Andrew Anthony has spent over fifteen years at 888, where he held a variety of roles in the finance team. These roles included leading the finance application and compliance unit. During his career through the years at 888, he managed to gain insight into the Company’s player base’s behavior, as Yaniv Schwartz stated. Plus, he also has a great wealth of quantitative methodology and experience that he will bring to his new role as the head of the responsible gaming team.

Andy Burton will take on his new role in May, and he will report to the CEO of Shop Direct, Henry Birch. He is also going to be a part of the executive board of the company. He is going to lead the technology team of Shop Direct that has 275 members.
